When we do have money, however, we tend to want more. The odd thing is that we all know, at least intellectually, that money wont buy happiness. But unfortunately, weve been steeped in a culture so heavily mediated    that weve started believing the lies. The cars, the houses, the stuffâ€"living the so-called Dream will make us happy. But of course this is not true. The opposite, however, is also not true. A life of povertyâ€"a life of perpetual deprivationâ€"isnt joyous either. You see, theres nothing inherently  wrong with money, just as theres nothing innately wrong with material possessions or working a 9-to-5. We all need some stuff, and we all have to pay the bills, right? It’s just that when we put money and possessions first, we lose sight of our real priorities. We lose sight of life’s purpose. And so maybe getting some of the excess stuff out of the wayâ€"clearing the clutter from our livesâ€"can help us all save money and make room for the most important things in life: health, relationships, growth, contribution, community. Torvald does not know anything about the loan and Mrs. Linde is surprised about it and she thinks Nora should tell him about it. Nora answers; â€Å"†¦ And besides, how painful and humiliating it would be for Torvald, with his manly independence, to know that he owed me anything! It would upset our mutual relations altogether; our beautiful happy home would no longer be what it is now† (12). This reflects the old sight of male and female position in the home or relation; the man is the one who should be responsible for the income and be independent. The female part is the opposite. The last sentence from Nora, demonstrates once again how important it is for her that her life looks perfect from the viewer’s sight. Nora is in a very hard situation with Krogstad because of the loan she took a long time ago. Krogstad behaves insipid against Nora in the middle of the play, when he threats her to tell Torvald about the loan. She talks to Dr. Rank, an old friend of the family, and she is very close to betraying her big secret, but instead she just informs him; â€Å"You can do nothing for me now. Besides I really don’t need any help at all. You will find that the whole thing is merely fancy on my part. It really is so-of course it is! † (41). From this we learn that Nora changes her sight of her self. She acts very clearly to Dr. Rank for many reasons, for example to get rid of Dr. Rank’s curiosity and also to convince her self that she has done the right thing and that everything is going to be fine. It also shows one of her first steps into her independence. In the end of the play, Nora realizes that her life is not real, is not perfect, is not fantastic; it is just like a dream story from outside like she always wanted her life to be – but she is not satisfied. Nora decides to tell Torvald about how she feels and she forces him to talk with her seriously; â€Å"I say that we have never sat down in earnest together to try to get at the bottom of anything. † Torvald answers â€Å"But, dearest Nora, would it have been any good to you? † (66). It looks like Torvald doesn’t think Nora has her own thoughts, or her own willing. He does not listen to her or maybe he does not want to listen to her. Nora continues to inform Torvald about her feelings, about how he and her father have made a big sin against her. â€Å"It is your fault that I have made nothing of my life† (66). Nora is much older now then she was when she first met Torvald, and she has changed during the years. Both of them play their roles very well and it is not only Torvald’s fault that she has not been able to do something of her life. When it comes to someone’s life, it is very much up to the person herself. Nora tells Torvald that she has never been standing on her own feet, â€Å"I have been your doll wife, just as at home I was Papa’s doll child; and here the children have been my dolls. I thought it great fun when you played with me, just as they thought it was great fun when I played with them. That is what our marriage has been, Torvald† (67). Ibsen describes how Nora gets an insight about which kind of life she lives. The image pattern of Nora shows a change comparing of the beginning of the book when she brags in front of people. The three children stand for happiness but Nora does not seem to have a close and genuine relationship to them. It is just a scene. Nora comes to a point in her life when she understands that she lives an unreal life and she has to do something about it. Ibsen shows that she is able to take the step out of the marriage like an independent person. Everyone thinks she lives her life like a doll in a perfect home. Lord Of The Flies By Golding In the Wiliam Golding novel Lord of the Flies children are stranded on an island with the possibility of not getting off. There is no adult supervision, no laws, no form of authority what so ever. When reading this novel, some questions come to mind about society. Questions such as what compels us to behave properly in our society? Is it a fear of the law? How can we behave in such orderly fashion most of the time and yet be capable of terrible destruction? These are some questions this essay will try to answer. A question that may stump some people is what compels us to behave properly in society? The reason may be the want or, for some the need, to fit in and be accepted in society and not to be judged. People know what is accepted and what is not in society. It may be a fear of the law because people know what the consequences for their actions will be, therefore they stay within the confines of the law. People such as Jack, from Lord of the Flies, would be seen as an outcast of society. "I thought I might kill." (p.55) This quote decribes Jacks character and personality. If someone in our society said that people would consider him crazy and not normal. Not all people are civilized and respectable in our society all the time. Sometimes when people act they don't think first which is probably why they are capable of such destruction. They don't think about the repercussions of their actions before they act. Such was the problem in chapter nine "A View to a Death" in Lord of the Flies. The boys think that Simon is the beast so they kill him not knowing who it is. Jack shouts, "Kill the beast! Cut his throat! Spill his blood!" (P.167) By Jack saying this you know he is not thinking about the outcome of his actions. Another good quote that shows this is in chapter five when Ralph says, "Things are breaking up. I don't know why. We began well, we were happy." (P.89) This shows that they didn't plan for the worst. If they did plan than maybe things would be better. The situations that people are in would also affect the way people think, or if they think at all. In the situation with Simon's death the boys were too hysterical to think things through rationally. Questions such as why do we behave the way we so in society and what makes us behave orderly most of the time and yet be capable of destruction are difficult to answer. But when it comes down to it, simple things like people not thinking that makes them capable of destruction. And its peoples want for acceptance in society that makes them act the way they do. Examples of these answers are in Lord of the Flies. When it comes down to it humans are animals, and sometimes we act like our ancestors for the simple fact that we are animals.

These activities can let the relationship between the manager and the employees become better and they also know each other better .Besides that, the manager can also know more about the fam ily background of the employees. A responsible manager should also keep a sharp eye on the companies daily operation. The manager must make sure that the company is operationing well. In addition, the manager should also exercise rewarding system to team member who did well or archive a good result in their work. By comparing the two theory and study case, we can compare the functions of the manager. In theory, manager use inspiring to lead the employee, while in study case, the manager use motivation to lead the employee. Besides that, manager becomes the role model of the employee in the theory while the manager becomes the role of example in front of the employee in the study case. Other than that, in theory, manager have to have a good relationship with the employees, while in study case, manager maintain a good relationship with their employee to ensure that they archive the organisation goals.
